Joints and Terminations

BICC provides the means of jointing all major types of power cables up to 36kV. These include screened and belted paper insulation cables (PILC/PICAS), plus a wide variety of cables with polymeric insulation materials such as cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), or ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR). Transition joints are available to permit the connection of dissimilar cables, whilst trifurcating joints allow the jointing of three core cables to three single core cables. BICC also offers a range of terminations for MV cables, which provide reliability and excellent performance in both indoor and outdoor use.
